About LoveDrama Camps

Love Drama host week long drama day camps throughout the school holidays in East
Lothian. The camps have been inspired by Love Drama founder Kirsten’s time working in children’s camps in Michigan and Wisconsin, USA. 'I was the Director of Drama in an overnight camp in
Wisconsin and also taught drama and singing in a day camp in Michigan. I can honestly say I had some of the best experiences of my life during camp. There was always such an upbeat, positive atmosphere with lots of team spirit and camaraderie. Every day was about having fun and creating amazing memories. I am confident that we recreate this experience in our Love Drama Camps!'

Drama Camp was piloted during the February holiday 2009 in Musselburgh and has continued in every school break since. We are delighted to have had 100% positive feedback from all campers. Kirsten’s personal favourite was from Kensie Neilson of Musselburgh after Easter Camp 2009. She said, 'I never really had so much fun at Easter time apart from M&D's!' (M& D’s is Scotland’s theme park and to be compared to a theme park is pretty good!)

Drama Camp has been a hit with campers and parents alike. One parent fed back, 'We feel our child's confidence has taken another step up after her week at this class. It has been a wonderful experience.' For Kirsten this is what all the hard work is about. We strive to create a happy, supportive environment where the participants can learn new skills, have fun and be creative. Drama is the perfect tool for building self-esteem and confidence.

Drama Camp for 4-7's is a happy and fun environment where creativity is nurtured and no child is ever underestimated. Parents are often astounded by the wonderful performances given from the shyest to most confident child in this group.

Drama Camp for 8-11's is a fun and exciting week where firends are made, skills are learned and memories are made forever. This age group is always non stop fun and the end of camp demonstrations are always magnificent!

Drama Camp for 12-16's was born from the ideas of our older campers who felt it was time for them to embark on a new challenge. So with their input – a new format was put together which allows campers from 12 - 16 (11 on request) to work with a professional director to devise a piece of work
 using new skills and techniques.





2012 is going to be a fantastic year for Love Drama Camps - we look forward to welcoming campers old and new along!
